Christmas Amaryllis Planters with Pinecone Cladding

Two living amaryllis arrangements share a textured cone-covered exterior, soft moss and low groups of red and bronze ornaments. A small pot and a broader bowl use the same palette, so they work as a pair for your home or as individual Christmas gifts.

See the details that make the pair work

Follow one complete project from the plain containers to the finished pair. Watch how long spruce-cone halves sit against the container, how the maker keeps the base level, and how the small gaps are filled before planting and decoration.

Two cone-covered amaryllis planters in different sizes, with green buds, red baubles and bare larch twigs.
The two sizes share a cone-covered base and the same red-and-brown palette.

From cone halves to a textured surface

A spruce cone split lengthwise, with its flat inner face held toward the viewer and pruning shears on the table.
The cut face gives the cone half a flatter surface to attach to the bowl.

The close views show the split face of each cone and the way it meets the outside of the planter. The two container sizes need different lengths and spacing, while the vertical texture gives them a shared character. Prepare the actual containers and cones together before attaching them.

Moss, ornaments and upright twig lines

Hands wrapping stiff wire around the neck of a red plastic bauble, with a bronze bauble on a wire stem nearby.
Wire around the bauble's neck forms its attachment stem.

The video continues through placing the bulbs, covering the surface with moss, making wire stems for the baubles and grouping the ornaments. Bare twigs repeat the direction of the green flower buds. Twine adds a final detail that ties the two sizes together.

Make room for the living plants

The English narration distinguishes the planting shown from a removable inner pot with drainage holes that you can use at home. Pebbles under potting mix do not improve drainage. Keep the upper parts of the bulbs exposed and follow the care needs of your plants; the video does not promise a flowering date.
